Cast of Play On!

Even the Script was Murder

Congratulations to all involved in Play On! Members of The Guild Players excelled in their performance of a play within a play, written by Rick Abbot. The play features members of an amateur dramatic society rehearsing a play – Murder Most Foul. The audience followed their difficulties in learning lines and their struggles in dealing with the play’s writer – a scatty Phyllis Montague – as she continued to rewrite it up to the last nights before the performance. The cast had not only the task of learning lines, but also the challenge of repeating various scenes, each time with different interruptions. It was an entertaining evening. Play On! must have been difficult to learn.
